Xfinity Communities provides internet, cable, and smart home solutions to multi-dwelling properties across the United States. As part of Comcast's residential services division, they serve property managers and residents of apartments and other multi-family housing.
The Opportunity
As a leader in internet and cable services, Comcast’s Xfinity Communities division needed more than just another trade show booth — they needed a space that brought their bold promise of seamless connectivity to life.
Their goal was to create an immersive, tech-forward exhibit that reinforced their “do-it-all” reputation while supporting relationship-driven sales conversations. The space had to balance high-tech storytelling with human-centered interaction — and look good doing it.
The Challenge
The design had to balance visual impact with functional requirements:
- Architectural storytelling with a purpose. The concept of “connection” had to be visible not just in the tech, but in the architecture itself — signaling that Xfinity Communities enables seamless living through powerful infrastructure.
- Immersive digital integration. Multiple high-resolution LED surfaces and programmable lighting were required to bring the brand’s message to life while maintaining cohesion across zones.
- Flexible engagement zones. The layout needed to support both casual conversations and focused product demonstrations, allowing the sales team to engage multiple prospects simultaneously without crowding.
- Memorable brand storytelling. From floor to ceiling, every inch needed to reflect the Xfinity brand: sleek, smart, and scalable while still feeling personal and approachable.
Our Approach
We created a high-tech 20×20 island exhibit that translated Xfinity Communities’ message of seamless connection into an immersive, experiential environment:
- "Connection" brought to life. Two towers linked by an elevated crossbeam formed the exhibit’s structural core, visually communicating the idea of interconnected living. This bridge also added prime real estate for high-level branding and messaging.
- Tech-forward design.Floor-to-ceiling LED walls lined the exterior arches, playing continuous brand content. Inside, additional looping video zones created a wraparound storytelling experience. A glowing tube-lit hanging sign and layered lighting — including halo accents, puck lights, and oscillating LED strips — added drama and cohesion.
- High-impact activations. A hands-on SmartSolutions product display wall gave attendees a tactile feel for Xfinity’s tech, while a Halloween-timed candy bar activation drew crowds and kicked off real conversations. A VR demo station added deeper tech immersion while showcasing deployment scenarios in multifamily properties.
- Custom details that reinforced brand identity.We echoed the Xfinity logo in cascading cabinetry, while custom chevron-patterned flooring added texture and branded consistency.
The Result
The 20×20 island exhibit won Gold in the Hermes Creative Awards (Print Media-Trade Show Exhibit category, 2023).
The booth successfully positioned Xfinity Communities as a modern, innovative technology partner while creating an environment where their sales team could have meaningful conversations with property management professionals.
The bold design drew consistent traffic throughout the show, and the flexible layout supported the range of engagement styles the team needed—from quick product demos to in-depth strategic discussions.
