Building Effective Trade Show Exhibits | Size Matters… But Not Like That
Even the most custom of custom trade show displays share a few things in common: The biggest? Size.
While our team is capable of an endless combination of personalized exhibits and displays, most conventions require exhibitors to draw within the lines. That means certain protocols around booth dimensions, primarily to ensure that every vendor gets their moment in the sun.
What’s a standard trade show booth size?
Trade show companies will often refer to a 10’ x 10’ booth as the industry standard (you might even hear the terms inline booth or inline display), and in most cases, the label holds true. 10’ x 10’ exhibits are the bread and butter of most trade shows, encouraging more booths, more vendors, more foot traffic—more everything, really.
How big should my trade show booth be?
While 100 square feet is usually plenty to accommodate some seating, display table and even some tables or graphic interfaces, there’s more at play than just how much.
Consider how well.
How big should my trade show booth really be?
How well can your dimensions accommodate your budget? How well can they attract a curious onlooker? And how well can they handle a follow-up conversation?
More isn’t necessarily the word of the day.
Determining the size of your trade show booth is a process that demands attention from all parts of your organization: Talk to your salespeople about the support they need to collect leads. Talk to your tech people about the displays and interfaces you need to put on a good show. It’s all too easy to overlook the practical thing for the shiny thing, so make sure you’ve got input from every angle.
A 20’ x 20’ booth, for example, may give you another 100 square feet of space to play with and give you some breathing room—but too much of it could make your offering looking emptier than it really is.
A highly customized set of dimensions that takes advantage of the outdoors or makes use of vertical space could help grab some attention, but might put you up against your budget faster than a few tweaks to the standard size would.
